| − | + | Edubuntu is just Ubuntu with added packages, for soolhcs. Kubuntu (KDE) is just a different GUI than Ubuntu (GNOME), which can be downloaded and installed with Ubuntu.You could try Fedora. (Google search, of course)Some people like SuSE Linux.Those seem to be the novice friendly ones. (Or the ones off the top of my head)Try searching for a website called Distrowatch, they have a big list. Then it's up to you.I've also ran Ubuntu on a desktop with 128Megs of RAM, It ran slow, but it worked, but then again, I installed it, not ran it off the CD. Sooner or later you might consider building your own distro to suit your own needs. | |
